Lots of things are going on here! We are gearing up for our move to Huntsville, Alabama on June 1st. There is so much to do when you are actually moving further than across town. Things I have been dealing with include finding a new pediatrician, new OB/GYN, new RE, new pediatric ENT, new pediatric dermatologist, new dentist, new pediatric dentist, new bank.....you get the idea....NEW EVERYTHING!!!! It is all overwhelming and exciting at the same time. We have been so blessed with EXCELLENT medical care here in Jackson and we are going to miss our doctors tremendously!!! I can hardly even talk about it without tearing up! Despite all that we are leaving, we are smitten with Huntsville and all that it has to offer our family! I really can't find anything wrong with it other than being too far from our family and friends. We are very excited that the Maples live there at least. I might add here that Sara Beth and Allan have been AMAZING throughout this entire process!! We are so lucky to have such great friends!
We went to Huntsville last week to look for houses. We found a house that we love and we are under contract right now but I don't want to say too much about it until its a done deal (superstitious...maybe; trying to avoid being completely devastated if something goes wrong...more likely). All I will say is I REALLY hope things come together and work out! More on that in the not too distant future!
I don't know if I ever blogged about it but we sold our house in Fondren back in January and have been renting a townhouse in Jackson ever since. We are VERY blessed to have sold our house in this economy! Our lease in our apartment is up at the end of June when Bryan has completed his residency. The kids and I will move ahead of him to try and get settled. This is so that when Bryan finishes his residency, he can truly enjoy his little two weeks off between jobs. I want to make that two weeks as relaxing and low key as possible for him....Lord knows he deserves it!
Other things going on....the boys are growing like weeds. I will have to do a separate post about them with pictures. I am loving being at home with them. Best.Decision.Ever. Bryan is working a ton, but that's nothing new. We are headed to Baton Rouge tomorrow night to stay with the Coco's and to participate in a heart walk on Saturday (pictures to follow next week). We are excited to see our friends, but sad that it will likely be our last trip to Baton Rouge from Jackson. The next time we visit we will be spending 7 hrs in the car instead of 2 1/2. Oh well...road trips are fun and we will just have a good excuse to visit for longer : )
Anyway, I guess to sum up this post I will just say that I am so filled with various emotions now that we are FINALLY nearing the end of Bryan's residency. This may sound strange but I feel like in a way life is beginning. That's crazy though because we are in love, we have two beautiful, healthy boys, etc. Life is pretty good! I can't quite put it into words but I think that residency is confining. You are confined to a specific town, a specific hospital, a specific income (with no potential for more), you have no control over your work schedule, you are at the mercy of the institution, your hours are crazy and unpredictable, and much more. Bryan is now (finally) at the age of 35, getting his first REAL job! After 12 years (POST COLLEGE), he is finally going out into the real world and working for a company of his choosing, in a town that we love, with the ability to chart his own course! I am so proud of him!! I have told him a million times....if this was easy, more people would be doing it. I am amazed at his ability to press on and do something amazing with his life! We (me and the boys) are so lucky to have such an amazing man to take care of us!
So, here's to NEW BEGINNINGS! The next couple months will be crazy, sad, happy, exciting, anxiety-ridden and so much more but we're ready! Bring on the change!

Good luck on your big move (even though it's still a while away). Huntsville will be fun and, importantly, close to Nashville, which is the perfect weekend getaway--for parents and kids!
